Hugh, a former student of the Junior Royal Academy of Music, completed his BA (Hons) Music at University of Manchester in 2018 and leads a number of choirs including Elmbridge Community Choir and the Magna Carta Chorus.
As a Tenor soloist, Hugh is in demand; he has appeared in a number of BBC Radio 3 & 4 broadcasts and has performed at the English National Opera and the Royal Opera as a boy. Hugh also has experience in musical theatre as a performer and musical director, including at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
His love for Barbershop originated at secondary school where he sung in, and managed, the quartet there for many years. This led to him singing in numerous a cappella groups over the past years, including directing the a cappella group at Whitgift School whilst he was a music teacher there for 2 years.
Hugh is really looking forward to working more with Thameside Harmony Chorus in the future!
